At the South Pacific Open Championship in New Caledonia, Titleist golf ball loyalist Adam Blyth (Pro V1x) edged fellow Titleist golf ball loyalist Jake McLeod (Pro V1x) in a sudden death playoff after each finished regulation play at 12-under-par 272.
Blyth prevailed after making a par on the third playoff hole at Tina GC.
"The playoff was really tough,” said Blyth after the win. “I thought we would be there all night to be honest.”
The win marks the first career PGA Tour of Australasia victory for Blyth, who credited his rejuvenated commitment for his breakthrough performance.
“I have rededicated myself, trained really hard and it's paid off this week. It's been hard to get here and I will take it however I can.”
Blyth also acknowledged the play of his fellow Titleist loyalist, adding, “Jakey is young, he is going to win many, many tournaments.”
Congratulations, Adam!
