It has been a remarkable two week stretch for Titleist golf ball loyalist Shanshan Feng (Pro V1x), as she capped off the Asian Swing on the LPGA Tour with a one-shot victory over fellow Titleist golf ball loyalist Ha Na Jang (Pro V1) at the TOTO Japan Classic. This win comes on the heels of her victory last week and is the first back-to-back win for Feng in her career.
“It’s special because in my 16 professional victories this is the first time I've won back-to-back,” Feng said after the win. “So it really gives me a lot of confidence.”
Feng closed with a 2-under-par 70 at Taiheiyo Club in Ibaraki en route to a 13-under-par 203 victory total. Ha Na Jang shot three consecutive 4-under-par 68’s as Feng’s closest challenger.
Feng’s victory last week (her first of the 2016 season) came at the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia. Her win this week in Japan marks the sixth LPGA Tour title of her career.
“Coming into this week I had a lot of confidence and I felt really comfortable,” Feng said after the last putt fell. “I knew that I would have a chance because I’ve always liked the Japanese courses that I’ve played and I’ve played well in Japan. I’m really happy to win in Japan again.”
