It was just last November, when Robert Streb, on the range at Sea Island (Ga.) Golf Club, hit a new Titleist TSi driver for the first time. Streb watched as his Pro V1 golf ball flew toward the Sidney Lanier Bridge that provides a backdrop to one of the most picturesque ranges on the PGA TOUR. Four swings later, he turned to Titleist Tour Rep Jim Curran and said “This is awesome.” He put the TSi in his bag for his practice round, kept it in there on Thursday, and won the tournament Sunday. Streb’s victory was one of two trips to the winner’s circle for TSi drivers that day (in addition to Joachim B Hansen at the Joburg Open) – the first two wins for TSi. The first of many.

TSi drivers have since become the most played and winningest drivers on the PGA TOUR. The majority of winners over the past 12 months on the DP World Tour (formerly European Tour) and LPGA have also had TSi drivers in their bags.

Across the worldwide professional tours, as well as many of the biggest championships in amateur golf, the incredible speed and accuracy of TSi drivers continues to deliver week after week.

PGA TOUR

• On the 2020-21 PGA TOUR, Titleist drivers were teed up a total of 1,980 times, over 700 more than the nearest competitor (1,254), with Titleist driver players combining for a tour-leading 15 victories.
  
  
• That includes Jordan Spieth, who trusted his TSi3 to victory at the Valero Texas Open. Said Spieth: “This has been a great driver for me, it’s been fast, really forgiving. I’ve really, really liked the feel and I think it’s the best-looking driver that Titleist has ever made.”
  
  
• Titleist TSi3 was the overwhelmingly most played driver model this season on TOUR (teed up 1,254 times), more than double the nearest competitive model.

Last November, Cam Smith, with his TSi3 driver in the bag, became the first player in the history of the Masters to shoot all four rounds in the 60’s. Said Smith: “It feels more stable [and] matched up perfectly with the new ball (2021 Pro V1x) as well. I now have the ability to hit a lot of different shots – from the low fade fairway finder or a high draw – with the look and feel I prefer. … I love it and it fit straight in.”

The following April, Will Zalatoris, also playing a TSi3, posted the best finish (solo second) by a Masters rookie since 1982. Said Zalatoris: “I play a TSi3 – it’s built with ATI technology, which I love bragging about how it’s metal made for spaceships. I absolutely love it. It’s the longest driver I’ve ever played. And on top of that it’s the most versatile driver I’ve ever played. Can keep it low, can hit it high, can work it. Typically, I like to hit kind of a going left-to-right fade. … It’s the best driver Titleist has ever made.”

• TSi3 was also the most popular model across several worldwide tours, including the DP World Tour, Korn Ferry Tour and Japan Tour.
  
  
• TSi drivers were also the #1 choice of players who qualified for the 2020-21 PGA Tour FedEx Cup Playoffs, with 36 players teeing up a TSi2, TSi3 or TSi4 model. That list, in addition to Spieth and Smith, included Justin Thomas (TSi2), Max Homa (TSi3), Adam Scott (TSi4), Sungjae Im (TSi2) and the World’s 22nd, 24th and 28th-ranked players (who all play TSi3).

 LPGA

• Playing a Titleist TSi3 driver, the winner of the CME Group Tour Championship hit 51 of 56 fairways (91.8%), including all 14 in the final round, and averaged 260 yards off the tee, while claiming win No. 12 for Titleist drivers on the 2021 LPGA. That is more than double the nearest competitor’s win total (5).
  
  
• She first put her Titleist TSi3 11.0° model into play at the KIA Classic in late March, making a mid-tournament switch from a competitive model. Following the first round, she made the short drive from Aviara GC in Carlsbad, Calif., to the Titleist Performance Institute in nearby Oceanside to test the new TSi models. It took no more than 30 minutes for her to get dialed in to a TSi3 11.0° driver with a Graphite Design IZ 5R shaft (45”), while working with Titleist fitters Aaron Luttrell and Nick Geyer.
  
  
• Of the 12 Titleist drivers that found the winner’s circle on the LPGA this season, 11 were TSi1, TSi2 or TSi3 models. With her victory at the Gainbridge LPGA in February, Nelly Korda became the first player on a major professional tour to play and win with a TSi1 driver model. She won three more LPGA titles in 2021 with her TSi1 10.0° (Graphite Design Tour AD IZ 6), including the KPGA Women’s PGA Championship, and also brought her TSi1 to the top of the women’s golf podium in Tokyo. The winner of the AIG Women’s Open also used a TSi3 driver.
  
  
• Korda put TSi1 in play following a trip to the Titleist Performance Institute in early 2021. At season’s end, she had set a new LPGA record for average birdies or better per round (4.90) in a single season (minimum 40 rounds played).

“She loved the shape of the TSi1 and was swinging it with a lot of confidence,” said J.J. Van Wezenbeeck, Titleist’s Director of Player Promotions. “Initially, we were very close with TSi2 and she was gaining up to 5mph additional ball speed. But she has a slight tendency to miss on the heel and Stephanie Luttrell (Titleist’s Director of Metalwood Product Development) suggested the TSi1 head – with its CG properties being closer to face center – could help improve strike location and provide the extra forgiveness she needed on those swings. TSi1 was never going to be the obvious choice with her 150mph ball speed, but in going through the fitting process we were able test all of the options and determine the optimal setup that is getting her 10-15 additional yards with better accuracy.”

DP WORLD TOUR

• For the second consecutive season, Titleist was the top choice of players making it to the tour’s season finale, with 18 competitors at the DP World Tour Championship playing a Titleist driver – all of them TSi models.
  
  
• Among them, the World’s 28th ranked player, who switched to TSi3 from a competitive model before his victory at January’s Omega Dubai Desert Classic. “I put a new driver in, and I don’t often talk about equipment, but I put a Titleist driver in the bag,” he said. “I feel like I’m driving the golf ball like I did when I was playing my best golf, when I was 3 in the world or whatever, and that’s — I feel like this rejuvenation.”

“He reached out to us over the offseason and said he’d heard a lot of really good things about the driver,” said Van Wezenbeeck. “We were going back and forth on phone and text, I was building different options and shipping them to him, and then getting feedback. He was really impressed with the ball speeds he was getting with TSi3, but the big thing for him was the overall performance. The driver he was playing last year, he felt that when he missed it, his misses were big. With TSi3, the misses were really tight. He loved the head shape and the feel, but it was that total performance package that really stood out.”

• The most popular driver model last season on the DP World Tour? TSi3 – played a total of 1,153 times, more than double the nearest competitive model (518).
  
  
• TSi drivers also topped the DP World Tour with 13 victories – including wins by Garrick Higgo (TSi3), Antoine Rozner (TSi3), Bernd Wiesberger (TSi3), Thomas Pieters (TSi2) and Rafa Cabrera Bello (TSi3) as well as the current 22nd-, 24th- and 28th-ranked players in the world – compared to seven for the nearest competitor.

Said Higgo, who won twice on the DP World Tour before adding a breakthrough PGA Tour victory at the Palmetto Championship at Congaree: “It’s a lot faster. I like the fact that you can change the (CG) weighting in the back of the head to whatever suits you. It’s the best driver Titleist has made. It’s definitely better than most all of the drivers out there today. And you can see that with how many guys are playing it.”

PGA PROFESSIONAL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

• At the PGA Professional National Championship, Titleist led the 312-player field with 33% of players gaming a TSi1, TSi2, TSi3 or TSi4 driver model, including the winner (Omar Uresti, TSi3) and 11 of the top 20 players who qualified for the PGA Championship.

AMATEUR

• Titleist was the most played driver at the NCAA Men’s Championship, with 92% of the Titleist drivers in play (57 of 62) at Grayhawk GC being. TSi models. Fifty-one players teed up a TSi3 driver, more than double the nearest competitive model – including the NCAA individual champion and three members of the NCAA title-winning team.
• Titleist drivers also were also the top choice of players at the U.S. Amateur Championship (110 players). TSi3 was the overwhelming most played driver model (78) at Oakmont Country Club, double the nearest competitive model. The U.S. Amateur champion – who rallied from 3 down with 9 holes to play to win 2 and 1 – played a TSi3 8.0 model.
  
  
• The majority of players on the United States and Great Britain & Ireland teams at the 38^th Walker Cup Match, as well as those competing in the U.S. Junior Amateur and U.S. Senior Amateur, also played a Titleist TSi driver.
  
  
• TSi3 was the most popular driver model among participants at the U.S. Women’s Amateur, U.S. Mid Amateur and U.S. Amateur Four-Ball.
