Pan Breaks Through at Harbour Town to Lead 5-Win Week for Titleist Players

C.T. Pan Tees of at Harbour Town Golf Links with his Titleist TS2 driver

Golfers trusting their games to Titleist golf balls continue to triumph around the globe, as five more players on the Worldwide Professional Golf Tours entered the winner's circle this weekend. Headlining the action, C.T. Pan captured his first PGA TOUR title, trusting the New 2019 Pro V1x and a TS2 driver to win the traditional Tartan Jacket at the RBC Heritage.

With additional victories on the LPGA, Web.com, Champions and Korean tours, players trusting their games to a Titleist golf ball have now collected 51 wins across the worldwide professional tours. That's nearly five times the nearest competing brand with just 11 and more than all competing brands combined.

Let’s take a closer look at this past week’s Titleist tour highlights…

C.T. Pan (New Pro V1x, TS2/9.5 driver) earned his first career PGA TOUR title with a come-from-behind victory at the RBC Heritage.

The 27-year-old from Taiwan, who won twice on the 2015 PGA TOUR Canada-Mackenzie Tour after turning professional, closed with a 4-under-par 67 en route to a 12-under 272 victory total, one shot clear of his nearest competitor.

Pan is now just the second golfer from Taiwan to win a PGA Tour title, following Chen Tze-chung (T.C. Chen), who won the Los Angeles Open in 1987.

"I'm sure this will be, hopefully, big news, back home," Pan said. "The golf course I practice at, the people that have supported me in my golf career. I think this is great news for them back home. It will be a big celebration, hopefully."

Piercy put the new Titleist TS4 driver in play for the first time in competition this week. According to Titleist Tour Representative Jim Curran, Piercy “loved the speed and spin reduction he was getting. He stayed in the 8.5° loft, but moved to a B2 SureFit setting that provided the preferred face angle and spin rate he was seeking.” Piercy led the field in Greens in Regulation for the week, hitting 51 of 72 for a 70.83 percent clip.

Pan topped a leaderboard on which 12 of the 15 players who finished among the top 10 and ties played a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x for his success.
